 Wow! What a terrific power-packed conference. I couldn’t believe that I was fortunate enough to be part of a small audience with Nancy Pelosi, Eric Schlosser and my all-time favorite Elizabeth Warren. It was a great blend of learning and networking. You and the Consumers Union staff couldn’t have done a better job! Now I need to be on my toes with health care reform efforts in my local area; I thought we were good, but DeAnn made clear that is not the case. Again, thanks so much for including me.

Attending this year's Summit was one of the best things I have done in my life! I can understand the  disappointment when you all worked so hard to make the Summit happen, and the weather stopped it from happening. But, just as I witnessed in watching you work at the Summit, you do not give up and you make things happen! What you produced was fantastic and informative. Thank you so much for giving me the scholarship. My travel and accomodations were great! I am using what I have learned, and will maintain your "Make things happen!" style.
Rick North, the activist who works for Physicians for Social Responsibility, has been sharing ideas with me, and I will be talking to a local member of that organization soon, regarding the contaminated drywall and the health issues many are facing.
 Today, I met with my principal at school, gave her a report on the Summit, and shared information about Child Safety and the new onguardonline.com program that she can inform our PTA about, so we can spread the word. I am finishing my school year, and packing up my classroom, thinking how much I would like to be working full time on being an activist. My friends always tell me they are glad I do what I do because I'm a mover and a shaker when I take on issues. There are no words in the English language to express how grateful I am to you and the others who made my attendance possible. The best I can think of right now is: Namaste.
