Plane

There are three major airports in the Washington DC area. Below are estimated costs and times to travel from the Conference Center at 901 E Street NW, Washington DC to the airports.

  • Reagan National Airport (DCA)

    --30 minute metro ride ($2 each way) or 20 minute taxi ($25 each way)

  • Dulles International (IAD)

    --30 mile drive, 45 minutes in traffic (Super Shuttle or Taxi cost varies)

    --Metro to Rosslyn Station and then the 5A shuttle bus to the airport 60 minutes or more ($4.90)

  • Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI)

    --30 mile drive, 60 minutes in traffic (Super Shuttle or Taxi cost varies)

    --Metro to Amtrak to the BWI Marshall Rail Station, where free shuttles serve the airport terminal (cost varies).



Train

The Amtrak terminal is located at Union Station downtown Washington. From Amtrak you can take DC Metro or a taxi anywhere in the city. Cost of Amtrak tickets varies, but booking in advance can sometimes help reduce costs.



Automobile


If you plan to travel to DC by car, we strongly recommend that you call and talk to your hotel about the parking lots and fees. The cost varies depending on the hotel. There are also overnight lots but they can be expensive.
